Our Story

Incipia was conceived in 2011, after a pivotal conversation between childhood friends, Gabe Kwakyi and Gregory Klein. The two resolved to build off of their long history together (friends since the first grade), shared passion for technology and natural desire to rise to a challenge, by starting a company and making their mark on the world. Incipia was established four years later in 2015, headquartered in Detroit, MI and with team members spanning the United States and over the Atlantic to Europe.

Our mission is to build a portfolio of high quality mobile products that provide utility and enjoyment to people in their lives and businesses.

We will accomplish this mission by growing a team of fellow colleagues - mobile experts who share our company values, which include:

  • Ambition - We take great satisfaction from building useful, quality products, and we seek to continually challenge ourselves and those around us to accomplish more.
  • Eagerness to learn and teach - We strive to build a better company by always being eager to teach and learn from one another, across teams and functions.
  • Accountability - We want people to be recognized, and also to own their work, taking confidence from success and knowledge from mistakes.
  • Empathy - Keeping in touch with the personal element of business is something we aim to never lose.
